PROJECT SUMMARY

NOT A GARMENT.

A WITNESS.

A WARNING.

A vertical CGI awareness piece built around the grey pants associated with Naama Levy’s abduction on October 7. The work places a painful visual symbol inside a real urban environment, using screen replacement, cloth animation and compositing to confront the viewer with something that cannot be easily ignored.

The Symbol

The project was built around the grey pants associated with Naama Levy — a garment that became a painful symbol of trauma, violence and memory.

The Confrontation

The piece was designed to feel like a public digital installation, placing the symbol above one of the world’s busiest urban environments and turning the surrounding screens into part of the message.

The Realism

The pants, fabric motion, blood stains, dirt, lighting and screen replacements had to feel physically present in the footage, not designed as a poster or graphic overlay.

VISUAL BREAKDOWN

FROM PUBLIC SPACE

TO PUBLIC MEMORY.

Urban Plate

The original city footage created the foundation for the installation, with movement, screens, reflections and surrounding architecture used as part of the final composition.

Screen Replacement

A neutral clay pass tests the blimp’s form, scale and shadow relationship before materials and final lighting.

Symbol Reconstruction

Lighting is matched to the street environment, balancing direction, contrast and atmosphere so the CG object sits naturally inside the plate.

Public Scale

The yellow palette is a direct reference to the yellow ribbon and pin associated with the hostage-awareness movement, carrying emotional meaning before the viewer even reads the message.
